To change the face of training in the ECD sector in the 21st century and teach skills, knowledge and values in line with this era. This platform provides a comprehensive opportunity in building knowledge with content from different curricula and at the same time equipping teachers to acquire tech savvy skills and develop essential life skills like STEM subjects, Robotics and Coding in order to cope in the digital world and at the same time providing a strng scientific foundation for their learners. Techademy prides itself on providing mentorship and coaching for ECD practitioners to become qualified in the Early Childhood Education fraternity thus providing quality education resources and training. Our uniqueness comes from our ability to provide for the individual needs of our users by assisting teachers with comprehensive ECD teaching tools. OUR VISION
To create an inclusive and connected learning community where collaboration and communication are key elements in developing the technologically advanced society. Using social media and contact interaction as a tool for education and training we believe that social media has revolutionized how people communicate, how they express themselves and how people keep themselves informed. It has most certainly significant implications on education (Mozee, n.d.). That is why we want to reach every teacher on every medium possible that ensures that their learners are not left behind. In the spirit of giving, Techademy have embarked on many community projects which is aimed at our ethos of educating the nation. What make us African is our “Ubuntu” spirit.
OUR HISTORY
Techademy was founded by Shamila Mooloo a PhD candidate researching in the field of Early Childhood Development who is a seasoned lecturer, educator and facilitator training teachers in Bachelor of Education degrees as well as students in Early Childhood Certificates and Diplomas. She started Techademy to train students to empower young women by mentoring and coaching them to open their own ECD centres in their communities. She empowers them with business skills to be able to run their ECD education business successfully. The founder has also embarked on an online affordable option of assisting these ECD practitioners through social media.

ECD drive- collection of used toys, stationery, books, equipment, furniture etc. that I provide to struggling ECD centres.
WOW – Women of Work- collecting gently used clothing for women empowerment projects where we place women into work overcoming employment barriers.
Shack EDtech
Quality childhood education campaign-Mentoring and coaching ECD teachers by upskilling them to be able to provide quality learning experiences with limited resources. Assisting with information with educational resources, fundraising ideas and teaching and learning practices. Providing resources that improves shack education through the use of social media thus bringing the element of quality to their ademic programme despite the barrier of well-ventilated classrooms, manicured fields and outdoor play areas.
